Discuss and take appropriate action on Solbourne Consulting Services Agreement.

Background

ITS wants to have Solbourne Consulting come onsite and offer training for various Oracle modules, beginning with the Purchasing module. It has been ten years since significant training has been done on Oracle and departments have had significant turnover in personnel. In most cases, the personnel who were originally trained on the system are no longer with the County and it would be beneficial to train those who are now using and supporting the system. We have found that we can leverage our budget most efficiently when we bring a consultant in to do the training (and we can train up to 12 people) instead of sending only 1 or 2 people to another location out of town for the same cost. Solboourne is on the state DIR contract and, therefore, an RFP is not necessary. Also, the money for this has already been budgeted in the ITS budget; we are not asking for additional money.
