We have a request by Richard Littrell, Race Director for RunFAR Racing Services, Inc. to hold a Dad's Day Duathlon Race at the Regional Park. The duathlon will consist of a 2 mile run that will be completely inside the park; a 10 mile bike ride that will not close off any roadway completely; and, another 2 mile run in the park. This is the same route and format that was used earlier this year in the Frost Yer Fanny event, which was completed successfully. The Parks Department has been consulted and has made a reservation for the event. Mike Gleason of the Williamson County Sheriff's Office has been consulted and approves of the safety and traffic control plan. |
