To declare an emergency and a grave necessity due to unforeseeable circumstances and approving a budget amendment for the reimbursement from the Attorney General's office for the purpose of SANE exams.
Background
The District Attorney will be working with the Child Advocacy center to provide SANE exams outside of the 96 hour period. These exams will be done at the request of law enforcement per the guidelines provided by the Attorney General. The Advocacy Center will pay the practitioners providing these exams and then bill the County. The District Attorney will pay for these exams. The Advocacy Center will prepare the paperwork necessary to seek reimbursement for these exams and the District Attorney will sign off on the requests for reimbursement. The reimbursements will be made to Williamson County and deposited in the revenue line item to offset the expenses. John Bradley will be in Commissioner's Court to answer any questions.
