Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action regarding a resolution supporting HB 4172 relating to the dissolution of the Chisholm Trail Special Utility District.

Background

Representative Farney is the author of HB 4172, which provides Chisholm Trail SUD with a method to dissolve its board. The City of Georgetown has been operating the system under a contract with CTSUD since October 2013. Currently, there is not a method for dissolving a district that no longer maintains any assets and liabilities or serves customers in its CCN. This bill provides CTSUD with the ability to dissolve its board and reduce customer fees.
