Receive and discuss the receipt of the Texas Comptroller Leadership Circle Platinum Member Award for the sixth consecutive year. Only if necessary, take any appropriate action regarding same.

Background

Williamson County, again this year, received the highest distinction from the Comptroller of Public Accounts that recognizes local governments that are striving to meet a high standard for financial transparency online. "Platinum" highlights those entities that are setting the bar with their transparency efforts.

Requirements include:
-Official adopted budget for the current fiscal year
-CAFR of the most recently audited fiscal year
-Current on-line check/expense register following detailed criteria
-Financial transparency webpage with a link on the homepage directing users to all key financial documents which must be viewable within 4 clicks or less
-Nine out of the eleven Minor Criteria
-Summary information about outstanding debt posted on the website
-Entity's website includes link to Comptroller's website about transparency
-Chief Executive signs pledge to post information about proposed bond package on website

Wililamson County received 23 out of a possible 23 points. This award is good for one year and must be re-applied for each year meeting revised and improved criteria.
