Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on Precinct 3 Justice of the Peace Bill Gravell's Office receiving the 2015 Tyler Public Sector Excellence Award at the Odyssey Conference in Dallas.

Background

The Tyler Technologies Public Sector Excellence Awards were established to showcase successes utilizing Tyler Technologies products. The Justice of the Peace Pct. 3 office has utilized Odyssey to transition the office from a dominantly paper-driven office to an office with electronic-driven processes. Odyssey allowed the office to create paperless workflows thereby reducing document storage requirements and allowing the office to recapture 500 square feet of valuable office space. In addition, the reduction in the use of paper and case files saves the court approximately 420,000 pieces of paper a year which equates to saving 50 full grown trees. Business processes that previously took 25-30 minutes now take 10 minutes saving the County approximately $650,000 in man hours per year.
