Discuss and take appropriate action on distribution of funds for the Hutto Education Foundation.

Background

Williamson County and the Hutto Education Foundation Solid Waste Fee Funding Policy was considered and approved in a duly called Regular Session of Commissioners Court of Williamson County, Texas, on January 11, 2011.

The Hutto Education Foundation (HEF) is a conduit for the distribution of funds allocated by the Commissioners Court to the Hutto ISD. We have an agreement that 25% or a minimum of $20,000 goes into the Permanent Endowment Fund. If funds are approved the Permanent Endowment Fund contributions would be $40,000 for 2013-2014 and $47,500 for 2014-2015.

The Hutto Education Foundation has not received funds for 2013-2014. Accordingly, they are requesting funds for 2013-2014 in the amount of $80,000 and 2014-2015 in the amount of $85,000.

This year's recommendation is $165,000 to cover the 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 requests.
