Discuss, consider and take appropriate action regarding the engagement of the law firm of Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP to assist the law firm of Sheets & Crossfield, P.C. in the representation of Williamson County in relation to litigation and trial services in the pending case styled Williamson County v. Katy Nell Andres Whitis, Cause No. 12-0081-CC3; and exemption of such legal services from the competitive bid/proposal requirements of the County Purchasing Act pursuant to the discretionary exemption for personal or professional services, as set forth under Section 262.024(a)(4) of the Texas Local Government Code.
