Discuss and take appropriate action regarding payment to the following ESO's for 2013:Thrall VFD and Granger VFD.

Background

As you know, we were tasked with determining if response deficiencies were present with department who were funded participants of the county’s ESO agreement. We appreciate the efforts of the County Staff, primarily those with the communications division, who worked long and hard to pull together the data necessary to determine if in fact a pattern of “failure to respond” was present.

From the data presented it was determined that NO such deficiencies were substantiated concerning, Thrall VFD or Granger VFD. Bartlet VFD proved to be a bit more difficult in that the WILCO Com Center does not provide initial dispatch services for BVFD. Meaning – the statistical data was not complete.

During a meeting held on 4/17/2013 the Williamson County Fire Chiefs Association reviewed the information provided and then voted unanimously to fund Thrall VFD and Granger VFD for the 2013 operational period. We respectfully request that the Judge make the determination concerning payment to Bartlett VFD.

The com center staff has assured us that new “bench marks” or “target points” are being placed into the CAD to better track response times and numbers for ALL Williamson County Fire Departments. This will enable us to better address any and all concerns of the Commissioners Court prior to next year’s funding review.
