Discuss and take appropriate action regarding reducing the United Health Care(UHC) imprest fund amount, held in the UHC Bank of America Self-Funded Health Plan Account, from $270,000 to $50,000
Background
Williamson County has a $270,000 impress fund balance, approved by Commissioners Court, in the UHC Bank of America account to ensure the availability of funds to pay health claims. Since we changed health care providers, in November 2012, we have been paying off residual claims in the run-out period.
Recommendation: Reduce the impress amount to $50,000. The $220,000 refund would then be deposited into the General Fund Checking account (Wilco) and credited to the Benefit’s fund as follows: 01.0885.0000.134001 Source Code: Benefits
