Discuss and take appropriate action on approving funding for relocation and refurbishing of a mobile home to be located at the Southwest Regional Park.
Background
With the expansion and improvements to 183 a manufactured home is in the right of way and needs to be moved or demolished. The home was used as a realtor’s show room. An opportunity exists to move the home to the South West Regional Park for a caretaker’s residence. The SWRP is a very busy park and with the addition of the Quarry Splash Pad having a resident caretaker is even a greater necessity. A resident site was previously prepared with utilities immediately adjacent to the park maintenance facility with a park residence in mind. It is requested that $55,000 from 2006 bond interest be approved to make this move and refurbishing. The following tasks are anticipated for relocating the manufactured home known as the “183 House”
Pre-move - Utility disconnect and the actual relocation,
Post move – Decking, Underpinning, anchoring, A/C (unit was stolen from site), Utility connect (water; wastewater; electrical), Insulation assessment (underneath/interior), Wiring / plumbing assessment, Siding assessment (reuse or new), roofing assessment (new or existing) and then Inside work-flooring, interior walls (add/remove), water heater, appliances, and bathroom.
