36. Comments from Commissioners.
  Commissioner Covey commented that the Adopt a Unit Program for the 4th Combat Aviation Brigade is extending the deadline to Friday April 30th for collecting items to send with the troops when they deploy this summer.

Commissioner Long announced that "Take a Hike" will be held this Saturday, April 10th from 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the new Williams Tract between Leander and Liberty Hill.

Commissioner Long gave special thanks to Kathy Grimes, Executive Assistant to Commissioner of Precinct 2 and Donna Harrell, Director of Veteran's Services for their efforts in making Partners Across Texas Showcase successful for the Veterans last weekend.

Commissioner Birkman wished her dad a Happy 80th Birthday.
