Consider various road and lane closures for the Bat-Stravaganza Fun Run & Family Festival on May 1st, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.

Background

Scott and White will be hosting their annual Bat-Stravaganza Fun Run & Family Festival on May 1, 2010 from 8:30 a.m. until noon. The 5K will be between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. They have hired a consultant to put together the attached traffic plan. They intend to contact all the home owners in the area. Most of the run is in the city limits of Round Rock and the city has granted them permission for the various road and lane closures. The route is very similar to the route they used last year and this worked really well. They plan to hire off duty officers for traffic control. They will also notify all the home owners in the area. This has been routed through the county road closure process and has been approved by EMS and the Sheriff's Office as well as the county engineer.
