Consider blocking off a section of Manx Drive (8205 -8209) for a block party from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Sat. April 25, 2009.

Background

Brian Eberwine who lives on Manx Drive would like to host a block party. They will be having music pumped through a PA system toward the two houses where the roadway is blocked. They intend to have around 40-50 people. They will also be projecting a movie on a large screen for the children and a pot luck dinner. They have done this twice in past with no problems.

Ron Roberts with URS has been informed.
Lt. Gleason from the Sheriff's office has approved the closure.
Joe Granbury from the EMS Department has approved the closure.
Patrick Cobb has been notified.

This did not go through the new automated service. I met with Terri Brisse and David Luna from IT on April 15th and we think the kinks have been worked out. We should be able to go live with the system on the next closure.
