Consider and take appropriate action on granting approval of an easement to the City of Taylor for public access to the East Williamson County Regional Park site.

Background

The easement allows the City of Taylor to have access from FM 397 (Carlos Parker Blvd.) up to the Rodeo Grounds. It provides enough area for the proposed parking lot that will serve the new park. The easement document refers to "public facilities" which basically means the City of Taylor will build and maintain the parking lot, etc. associated with the park. The City of Taylor also proposes to stripe the existing access road as a fire lane to ensure access to the fields by the City's emergency response personnel.
