Discuss and consider approving a line item transfer for ITS:

Background

ITS has been working with the Tax Office to procure a Call Center solution to help the Tax Office be more efficient in their handling of the numerous phone calls they receive by better utilizing their staff. Prior to the budget process last year we were unable to get a credible estimate for the system so we simply plugged in $40,000 with the understanding that the Tax Office would share in the cost as well. After reviewing and comparing solutions, both the Tax office and ITS' share in the project increased. To procure the solution, we need to transfer $23,000 to the Communications Equipment (#5752) line item. ITS is sharing in this project because, after the Tax Office implements this solution, it can also be shared with other offices in the County as well, with proper licensing.
