Consider and take appropriate action on Williamson County Conservation Foundation (WCCF) board recommendation to contribute $20,000 to the Envision Central Texas Greenprinting project. The WCCF recommendation is to use $10,000 of Foundation funds and $10,000 of county funds for this contribution.

Background

The Envision Central Texas (ECT) Greenprinting project includes five counties - Williamson, Travis, Bastrop, Hays and Caldwell - and is designed to develop regional GIS models to help counties and communities develop better plans for developments, roads, parks and open space using locally identified goals and criteria. According to the Williamson County GIS staff, the models and templates developed under the Greenprinting model will enhance and augment existing GIS data and graphical overlays. The models will particularly benefit multi-jurisdictional projects and assist in finding resolutions on regional transportation development, watershed maintenance and protection and public improvements.
