Discuss and take appropriate action on authorizing the execution of an Agreement for Site Use between the City of Austin and Williamson County relating to Williamson County EMS's use of property that will be annexed and owned by the City of Austin.
Background
On January10, 2008, the Austin City Council passed a resolution that directed the Austin City Manager to proceed with annexation of the Anderson Mill Municipal Utility District (“MUD” or “District”), and to take all steps necessary to proceed with the annexation. The City of Austin's full purpose annexation of the District shall be completed on December 31, 2008 and, in accordance with the annexation, the District’s water and wastewater facilities will be conveyed to the City of Austin prior to full purpose annexation of the District.

Williamson County EMS (“EMS”) currently has a mobile home trailer, out of which EMS operates, on the land in which the District will be conveying to the City of Austin (“Property”) as a part of the annexation. The City of Austin would like to allow EMS to continue to operate out of the trailer that is situated on the Property until December 31, 2008. The proposed agreement sets forth the terms under which EMS may continue to occupy and use the Property for purposes of providing EMS services.
