Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on approving an updated memorandum of understanding between Williamson County EMS and Sam Bass Fire Department.

Background

This is an update from the 2005 MOU with Sam Bass Fire Department which only covered utilities at $250/month. The new MOU with cover all utilities to include cable, internet, phone and any operations/maintenance expenses during the year. The amount was calculated on past history for the area occupied by EMS and the amount of time that EMS is scheduled each week.

H. Utilities and Service. The Fire Department shall provide and maintain, the mains, conduits and other facilities necessary to dispose of garbage , water, gas, electricity, telephone and internet services and sewage service to the SBFD Station. If any of the equipment or machinery necessary or useful for the provision of any of the above services breaks down or for any cause ceases to function properly, the Fire Department shall use reasonable diligence to repair the same promptly. The Parties acknowledge that utility costs incurred due to County’s use of the Fire Station will be paid out of the Consideration set forth Section II., B. herein above. In the event utility costs increase in the future, the Parties agree to review such increase and adjust the Consideration as reasonably necessary.
