Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on approving a cash drawer in the amount of $100.00 for the collection of Discovery fees in the County Attorney's Office.

Background

Currently only checks/money orders/cashier checks are accepted as a form of payment for the discovery fees that are collected on each criminal and juvenile case. In order to better serve the public in getting the evidence they request as per the Michael Morton Act we are asking that a cash drawer be funded and begin taking cash as another form of payment.
