Discuss, consider and take any appropriate action regarding request to reopen RFP #14RFP00235 (Pecan Harvesting Lease for Blackland Heritage County Park East of Jonah, Texas) and award contract to Stewart’s Pecan Farm conditioned on obtaining necessary insurance certificate for harvesting lease (contract previously not awarded due to failure to provide insurance documentation).
Background
This contract was originally awarded October 7, 2014 and then recinded on December 12, 2014 as no proof of insurance was provided by the lessee Stewart's Pecan Farm. Stewart's Pecan Farm is now able to provide the insurance documentation required and therefore it is the recommendation to re-open this RFP and re-award the contract to the only proposer Stewart's Pecan Farm in order to avoid harm to the tax payers as there is insufficient time to go out for a new RFP process.
