Discuss and consider acceptance of the letter from Heike Warren, Office Depot State & Local Tax Manager, regarding Office Depot's Economic Development Agreement with Williamson County.

Background

In August of 2011, Office Depot and Williamson County entered into an Economic Development Agreement. As set out in Section 4.3 of the Agreement, Office Depot, Inc., has met the job target of 161 new full-time employment positions as of Dec. 31, 2012 by hiring a total of 194 qualified full-time employees. The 194 new full-time positions can generally be described as 23 salary positions of which 5 are Upper Management, 16 are Middle Management and 2 Senior Analyst. The remaining 171 positions are hourly of which 169 are Inside Sales Representatives and 2 Administrative Assistants.

Office Depot has honored their obligation to the county under the agreement and has every intention to continue to do so.
