Discuss and take appropriate action on extending Williamson County Bid 12IFB00020 Asphalt Emulsions for Williamson County for the same pricing, terms and conditions as the existing contract for the contract period beginning April 1, 2013 through September 30, 2013.

Background

The Road and Bridge Division is satisfied with the material provided by the incumbent vendors during the initial and first extension term and therefore it is their recommendation to extend this contract for the same pricing, terms and conditions as the existing contract. US gasoline prices rose nearly a quarter per gallon in the beginning of February as higher crude oil prices and refinery shutdowns drove prices upward. Re-bidding at this time may likely result in higher prices especially for the FOB priced items.
