Discuss and take appropriate action on Proclamation declaring March 23, 2013 as Greater Austin Contractors and Engineers Association Day.

Background

Michele Yule, Executive Director of the Austin Contractors and Engineers Association, (ACEA) contacted Commissioner Birkman's office asking that the Williamson County Commissioners Court consider proclaiming March 23rd, 2013 as Austin Contractors and Engineers Association Day in honor of their 30th Anniversary.

The ACEA consists of 190 member firms including contractor, engineer, and associate companies from the central Texas area. Their mission is to promote the business interests of local engineers who design our streets, roads, utilities and drainage facilities; the contractors who build them; and the businesses that provide the engineers and contractors with supplies, equipment, and services.

On March 23rd, ACEA will be celebrating its 30th anniversary with a banquet.
