Discuss and consider approving a line item transfer for the Infrastructure Department

Background

Last month on the 2/21/12 agenda, the Infrustructure Director requested a re-classification of an Engineering position, and it was subsequently approved. The position was previously approved at $43,450.97 and split 50/50 between the General Fund (Infrastructure Dept) and the Road & Bridge Fund. It is now approved at $89,057.81, still being costed 50/50 between the two funds. Although this was done by combining two positions, the other position was costed 100% to Road & Bridge, thus not taking into consideration the increase on the general fund side of the split. Additional funds are required to fund 50% of this re-classification in the general fund/Infrastructure budget.
