Hear presentation, discuss and take appropriate action on Texas Healthcare Transformation and Quality Improvement Program and the Medicaid 1115 Waiver.
Background
The State of Texas received approval in December of 2011 from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid services (CMS) for a waiver to expand Medicaid managed care while preserving the current hospital funding, and offering incentive payments for healthcare improvements. Hospital systems in Williamson and surrounding counties have been discussing implementation of the requirements of the 1115 Waiver.
