Discuss and approve the elimination of media type requirement for plats in Section 3.5 and 3.6 of the Subdivision Regulations.

Background

To provide against virus infiltration onto county computers from infected CDs or DVDs, we request the change to eliminate the specific reference. As media changes, we don't have to continually change the Subdivision Regulations to accommodate a new media type. We have set up a gmail account so those who submit plats may email them to us. The size limit on gmail accounts is 25 MG. Gmail also scans for virus before you can download any file so with that said and approval from IT, we will start this receiving them this way.
