Consider an order declaring an emergency and a grave neccesity due to unforeseeable circumstances and approve a budget amendment for EMS:

Background

Williamson County at this time does not have an agency dedicated to providing child safety seat inspection and education to its contstituents. The State does have programs in place to provide this education to residents, but the resources and event dates are limited. We have partnered with Texans In Motion, Kids in Safety Seats Project, in order to facilitate a child safety seat education and safety seat program for the residents of Williamson County. This provided the opportunity to apply for an Injury Prevention Award which was given to assist in this endeavor. The funds for this award will be used for the purchase of child safety seats to be distributed at education events held in Willimason County for our constituents. Having seats available for distribution will in the event a seat is found to have been recalled, is broken, damaged, or the child has outgrown their current seat, allow the child to leave safer than they arrived.
