Proposals were scheduled to be received on Tuesday March 17th at 2:00 pm in the Contractors Office. On Monday March 16th we were notified by the Contractor that the structural engineer had not provided requested information that was necessary for them to issue an addendum to the Proposal Package. Without this information (or at best receiving it at the last hour) bidders were not able to prepare their best response. Some proposals were received by the deadline, but due to the circumstances we believe that it is best to reject what has been received and re-schedule a new proposal opening. As an additional note to this information – for those responses that were received – all responses had been secured as we believe this was necessary to protect the bid positions of the sub-contractors that submitted. |
