Discuss and consider approving a line item transfer for JP 4:

Background

Moving money to cover extended warranty on Spacesaver System (line shaft mechanical assist carriages). Service agreement for one year is $1,061.54.

If we chose not to have a maintenance contract, we would be charged the following prices which could exceed the service agreement price of $1,061.54. Due to the shifting of the building, only one trip could cost that amount or more.

$150.00 an hour
$50.00 an hour travel time
$0.75 a mile - the nearest office is in San Antonio

Barry Becker in the Purchasing Department researched and obtained this information for us. After reviewing, Barry recommended that we purchase the maintenance contract.
