Discuss and take appropriate action on Amendment No. 1 to the TechShare Resource Sharing Addendum.

Background

The Conference of Urban Counties (CUC) formed TechShare several years ago to give counties a vehicle through which we can share software and other IT resources. One of the benefits is that the county or counties that contribute the resource can choose to receive funds from counties that choose to use that resource (i.e. software). Williamson County has been a part of TechShare from its inception and we chose to acquire the Tyler Techologies Odyssey Justice System. By participating in the Odyssey project via TechShare, we have the opportunity to receive funds as a rebate when additional counties join the project and pay licensing fees over and above our Enterprise license amount. In order to receive those potential funds, we have to renew a Resource Sharing Agreement each year for the specific project(s) in which we participate.

The payment amounts in the schedule are the same amounts agreed to when we first entered into the agreement to purchase and implement the Odyssey system. A portion of the license fees were paid the first year (2007) with the remainder being due this year.

The maintenance fees will be due as the various modules are implemented (and as the maintenance fees on the current system are reduced and eliminated as those modules are replaced). The first go-live date is May 12, 2008.
