Discuss and take action regarding the implementaiton of a burn ban for Williamson County.

Background

Williamson County has begun to experience an increase in wildland urban interface fires requiring assistance from multiple agencies to include the Texas Forest Service and the StarFlight Helicopter. While the Keetch Byrum Drought Index (KBDI) is relatively low (WILLIAMSON AVG 173 MAX 333 MIN 134), the grasses are extremely dry due to recent freezes and the lack of new growth has led to an increase in fire activity. With current drought conditions access to adequate water resources remains limited. Recent fires have begun from agriculture equipment use and controled burns that have gotten out of control.
