Discuss and take appropriate action regarding approval of Business Associates Agreement with the Texas Pharmacy Association.

Background

Texas Pharmacy Association is assuming the processes previously performed by HealthMap Rx for the County's Diabetes Program. The current Business Associates Agreement was established utilizing HealthMapRx, LLC as part of the agreement and that entity closed down December 31, 2009. Accordingly, we need to have the new Business Associates Agreement with Texas Pharmacy Association in place to comply with HIPAA. The services and pricing structure contained in the new Business Associates Agreement are identical to that provided by HealthMapRx, LLC. The County Attorney's office has reviewed this agreement prior to submission to the Court for approval.
