Agenda Item
Discuss how Williamson County should proceed with the use of funds from the Neighborhood Stabilization Program allocated through the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs.
Background
It is projected that a Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) will be approved by the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs on approximately March 13, 2009.  Williamson County, as an entitlement grantee, has $1,066,554 earmarked for projects that are allowable by this program (please see attached document for further explanation).

TDHCA has indicated that individual cities or non-profits (with the support of local government) can apply directly for these funds.  TDHCA does, however, want coordination among applicants as to avoid duplicate efforts and/or competition for funds.

Please contact Sally Bardwell with any questions.  512-943-3757.
