Hear presentation and update on Capital Area Housing Finance Corporation.

Background

Capital Area Housing Finance Corporation (CAHFC) was created in 1981 to assist in meeting the housing needs of low and moderate income families in Bastrop, Blanco, Burnet, Caldwell, Fayette, Hays, Lee, Llano and Williamson Counties, as well as the City of San Marcos. CAHFC provides both single family ownership and multi-family rental opportunities to persons meeting certain income requirements. They provide down payment assistance programs for first time homebuyers to assist families in acheiving the goal of homeownership. Board President, Greg Boatright and Capital Area Housing Finance Corporation's Executive Director, Jim Shaw will give the Court an update on projects in Williamson County and the current national housing crisis.
