This line item is estimated by the Auditor's office each year. It is based on a projection from SCAAP (a grant from State Criminal Alien Assistance Program). This year the County was awarded more funds than previously anticipated. Therefore, the cost or fee to Justice Benefits Inc (the folks who prepare and submit this data) increases as well. This transfer will cover the increased costs. |
