Discuss, consider and take appropriate action to approve an increase of change funds for the Motor Vehicle Departments in Georgetown, Cedar Park and Round Rock to $2,000.00 and the Taylor annex to $1,500.00. In addition, increase the Property Tax change funds for Georgetown to $1,500.00 for a grand total of $4,600.00 in increased change funds.

Background

The change funds are used to make change during ordinary business transactions. Due to continued growth, transactions continue to surge; thereby, increasing the need for additional change. Funds in the amount of the change order must be deposited for every change order requested. Williamson County's new bank charges a fee for every deposit and every change order. With an increase in the change funds, the number of deposits for change orders as well as the bank fees would be reduced.
