Discuss, consider and take any appropriate action regarding rescission and sending notice of non-acceptance of proposal received for Pecan Harvesting Lease (Blackland Heritage County Park), proposal # 14RFP00235 to Stewarts Pecan Farm for failure to submit mandatory insurance certificate and authorize the County Judge to execute notice of non-acceptance.
Background
After receiving no response to several written requests for proof of required insurance, Mr. Stewart was contacted via phone; Mr. Stewart said it was more insurance than he currently was carrying but he would send the documents in a few days. After two weeks with no documents and another attempt to contact via email, it was decided he will not be sending his insurance documents and will therefore not meet the requirements of the contract with the County.
