Discuss, consider and take any appropriate action regarding revising approval and receive into the minutes software purchase and maintenance contract with vendor Mythics, Inc. from DIR TSO 2548 (State Of Texas Department Of Information Resources) to GSA GS-35F-0153M (U.S. General Services Administration) in order to receive additional licenses at same cost.
Background
On November 18, 2014, the Commissioners Court approved an agreement with Mythics to purchase Oracle support and maintenance as well as purchase additional software licensing. Mythics notified us that they are renegotiating their DIR contract and, therefore, would prefer that we purchase under their GSA contract instead. In order to compensate the County for the inconvenience of doing this, they gave us 40 additional licenses at essentially the same price (about a $4,000 savings).
