Discuss and consider approving the exemption of Environmental Services from the competitive bid/proposal requirements of the County Purchasing Act pursuant to the discretionary exemption for personal or professional services as set forth under Section 262.024 (a)(4) of the Texas Local Government Code, and setting date of January 21, 2014 at 3:00 pm in the Purchasing Department to receive Request for Qualifications for these same professional services.

Background

The RFQ's received in this formal process will be evaluated and recommended to the Commissioners Court in the same manner as those professional services RFQ's (Surveying Services, Geotechnical Services, Planning and Design Engineering Services) approved by the Commissioners Court last week (December 10th, 2013 - Item #66).
