Consider and take appropriate action on Contract 582-12-20269 which is for the 2012 contract allocation for the Low Income Vehicle Repair Assistance, Retrofit, and Accelerated Vehicle Retirement Program (LIRAP) also known as the AirCheck Texas and Drive a Clean Machine Program.

Background

The court previously approved a contract amendment to allow carryover of existing funds under the LIRAP program. This action covers the new funds (which are greatly reduced from prior years) and makes those administrative changes approved by the legislature to include mileage limitations on replacement vehicles and other technical changes.

There will be one more action to come to the court. That will be to amend the carryover funds amendment to conform to the changes as approved under this contract.
