Discuss and take appropriate action regarding employment of the law firm of Smith, Robertson, Elliot, Glen, Klein & Douglas, LLP to represent Williamson County in relation to legislative and regulatory initiatives relating to securing approvals for locally-funded transportation projects; exemption of those attorney services from the competitive bid/proposal requirements of the County Purchasing Act pursuant to the discretionary exemption for personal or professional services and authorizing the presiding officer of the court to execute an Engagement of Legal Services letter agreement that sets out the parties agreement.

Judge Gattis commented that Commissioners' Court will not meet on December 21st and 28th. The swearing in of county officials will be on January 1st at 1:30 P.M. at the historic County Courthouse.

Commissioner Covey commented there will be a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the Williams Drive Phase 1 project at 2:00 P.M. this Thursday at the First State Bank on Williams Drive.

Commissioner Birkman commented there will be a Special Meeting of the Commissioners' Court on December 29th at 1:30 P.M.
