Agenda Item
Consider approval of the sale of eight properties as requested by the McCreary, Veselka, Bragg, and Allen law firm representing the Williamson County Tax Assessor/Collector to be sold after sufficient bids were not received at a public sale.
Background
Eight properties were offered for sale by the Constable of Williamson County at public auction and did not receive sufficient bids as set by law and were struck off to the Williamson County Trustee for the use and benefit of itself and the other taxing units which levied taxes on the properties.  A taxing unit may request that the Constable sell property at a public sale to the highest bidder with no minimum bid required.  Williamson County does hereby request the Constable of Williamson County to conduct a public sale in the manner prescribed by the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and of the Texas Tax code and sell the eight properties described in the attachment to the highest bidder.
