Consider and take appropriate action on required expenditure for water meter test and replacement.
Background
Parks is required periodically by the City of Round Rock to test the meter that serves the Southwest Regional Park to confirm meter calibrations. Normally this is a professional services action that costs approximately $200. The most current test, conducted 10/23/08 determined that the meter was defective. Repair expenses, not covered under professional services, totaled $600 for parts. The total billing was $200 for original field test, $600 for repair parts and $100 for retest of the repaired meter for a total of $900.
