Discuss and take appropriate action on the TCEQ executive director's recommendation for Williamson County to be included with Travis County in a nonattainment area for air quality.

Background

Texas Commissioner of Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has released their Executive Director’s recommendations for Counties to be included in nonattainment areas under the new ozone standard of 75 parts per billion. For the Austin area, as excerpted below, they are recommending only Travis and Williamson out of the 5-County MSA be included in the nonattainment area designation. This recommendation will be considered at the TCEQ Commissioners meeting on December 10th.
