Discuss and take appropriate action regarding appointment of Pat Herff as Board Member to Williamson County Child Welfare Board for 2008-2009.

Background

The Honorable Dan Gattis and Williamson County Commissioners:

I am requesting that the Commissioners Court approve the appointment of a prospective member for the Williamson County Child Welfare Board for the coming 2008-2009 fiscal year.

We are very excited about our newest prospective Board member, Pat Herff-Georgetown/Jarrell, and would ask that the court approve her appointment to the board! Pat’s appointment to the board would bring the board to full capacity with fifteen members. Pat has already proven to be a valuable contributor to the board. She has volunteered in the past to provide gifts for our foster children at Christmas, been instrumental in organizing church members who furnished the family visitation room in the Georgetown DFPS offices and also for organizing and stocking shelves in the board Raindrop Room project, a mini Rainbow Room, also located in the Georgetown DFPS offices. The original Rainbow Room board project is located in Round Rock.

Please place this request for Pat’s appointment to the board on your agenda at your earliest convenience and please call, fax, or email me with any questions you might have. Thank you so much for your time and the attention you give to our board and in turn enable us to help care for the foster children of Williamson County!
