Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on the approval and acceptance of FY15 Homeland Security Grant funds in the amount of $4,635. The project is for the purchase of a Flourine Detector and Support Equipment for the Hazardous Materials Response Team.
Background
Flourine Detector being purchased for the Hazardous Materials Response Team. A capability gap was identified during a response to a fluorine leak. Currently the Williamson County HazMAt Team does not possess the necessary equipment to detect fluorine or fluorine based substances which is commonly used in the high tech industry.
