Consider approving Change Order No. 3 in the amount of $47,865.85 for County Road 108, a Road Bond Project in Precinct Four.

Background

This Change Order provides for a preliminary balancing of the overrun/underrun Contract quantities for the project as a result of addressing field conditions not accounted for in the original plan quantities and adds a new force account Contract item for water seepage investigations. This Change Order also adds new Contract items for the addition of rock gabion mattresses to be installed at the south end of the project near the US 79 intersection to serve as erosion control devices. The new items include compensation to the Contractor for grading the area, hauling off spoils, installing the mattresses, and cleanup of the adjacent area.
