Discuss and consider approving a variance request to Section B2.1 and B3.6.3 of the 2013 WCSD for the Highland Horizon Ph 3 subdivision - Pct 1
Background
Section B2.1 of the 2013 Williamson County Subdivision Regulations (WCSR) requires that roads be laid out so as to align with adjoining or nearby subdivisions.  The intent of this requirement is to provide connectivity with existing or future developments on adjacent lands.  In the case of Highland Horizon Ph 3, there will be no future residential development to the east to which this subdivision must connect.

Section B3.6.3 of the WCSR requires that the pavement cross section in an urban residential subdivision be a 30 foot travel way, as measured from the lip of gutter to lip of gutter (or 33 feet from face-of-curb to face-of-curb).  This variance request is to reduce the width of the roads within this subdivision from a width from 33 feet to 30 feet, as measured face-of-curb to face-of-curb, due to the strict requirements contained within the covenants and restrictions for this development.

A formal variance request from the Developer is attached.
