Consider approving Change Order No. 5 in the amount of $146,697.00 for IH 35 Northbound Frontage Road, a Pass Through Financing project in Precinct Three.
Background
This Change Order adds new Contract Items for the installation of an 8-inch waterline to replace the existing City of Georgetown waterline in conflict with the south abutment of the new South San Gabriel River bridge at NBFR Sta. 227+15. The waterline will be relocated in the TxDOT ROW from Sta. 228+82 to Sta. 242+38 along the edge of the ROW. Change Order No. 5 deletes most of the items added previously by Change Order No. 3, which was processed simultaneously with the TxDOT permit for the Georgetown waterline to allow the Contractor to go to work once the permit was approved. Change Order No. 5 reflects the final approved revisions to the waterline relocation plans and the specifications for the work are the same as was added previously.
